Tata Communications' tie-up with BitGravity will bring bandwidth management to the masses

Tata Communications and Silicon Valley based BitGravity, a Content Delivery Network startup are bringing interactive broadcasting to the masses across Tata's vast Single ASN global IP network across Asia, Europe and North America.

BitGravity, like other CDN providers help ISPs reduce the bandwidth required to distribute large files by storing it in a way that allows it to reach the customer directly instead of the standard way of routing across networks. The result is beneficial for both parties involved -- the end user and the ISP. For consumer, this translates to lesser wait times and buffer time for high bandwidth content like online content streaming. For ISP's this will result in better bandwidth management.

Reliance Globalcom too has signed up with another CDN provider Internap services starting off a new trend for India based global telecom majors.
