SHRC seeks probe into inmate's death

BANGALORE: The Karnataka State Human Rights Commission has initiated suo motu inquiry over the row of handing over the body of undertrial prisoner Amagond, who died in Kidwai hospital. 

Shankaramma , wife of Amagond , has been running from pillar to post for her husband's body. Amagond, prisoner in Bijapur jail, fell ill and was admitted to Kidwai. 

The commission has directed deputy commissioner of Bijapur to make arrangements , and Kidwai hospital has also been directed to take action.
