Karnataka rakshana vedike is doing what needs to be done. Bravo.

BANGALORE: The idea of having a rocking party in an isolated place outside city limits has landed party animals in trouble. More than 35 people who were enjoying a rave party on Saturday night at a dhaba near Manchanabele dam, Magadi taluk, were attacked by the Praveen Shetty faction of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike and arrested by Bangalore Rural police.

The arrested, mostly belonging to the upper-middle class, include two foreigners - an Israeli and a Spaniard. They've been charged under the Narcotics Drugs Psychotropic Substances Act and produced at the Magadi sessions court. Police recovered ganja and other narcotics, besides musical instruments and loudspeakers.

The party was reportedly organized by Shandy, a Mangalorean, and the invites were sent out through the internet and SMSes. KRV activists who got wind of the party landed on the spot at 1.30 am and allegedly assaulted several people.
The police, who were informed at 3 am, immediately went to the spot and arrested the revellers.

Ramanagaram deputy SP Devaraj told The Times of India a complaint has also been registered against the activists and they would be arrested on Monday.

The dhaba where the party was being held is owned by Rajanna. Police officials suspect Shandy's Mangalore link could have tipped off the Praveen Shetty faction. The revellers will be charged with possessing narcotics, as well as consuming alcohol and dancing in a public place after 11.30 pm.
